Recently Maxis and KiddyTrack Sdn Bhd has jointly launched a new solution for parents to track the location of their childs. This is the solution for every parent’s nightmare of not knowing their children’s where abouts.
What parents need is the small device inserted with Maxis sim card. Within Maxis 3G coverage with GPS, parents can locate children just by sending SMS and the system will push SMS to parent’s mobile phone with URL link to Google map with the child location accurately.
In the event of non 3G coverage where GPS is not possible, M2M (machine to machine) platform will be used to locate child up to 50 metre radius (same technology that Felda is using to track their truck but this one has limited coverage)
In case of emergency, the device could alert up to 5 pre-installed mobile no by pressing the SOS button.
This is a cool solution for parents who always lost their children in shopping compex 🙂
The service is part of location based technology which supposed to bring mobility,ubiquity and convenience to its user.
